The copy I archived was posted in the Craigslist SF bay area › east bay › services › automotive services section on August 24, 2026, under the title “A&J mobile autobody repair (Mobile service).” It carries 20 photographs of repair work, a mobile phone number, and the statement that the business services the entire Bay Area.
Repeat posting across the Bay Area
Classified advertisements of this kind expire, and the copy I archived was described as posted four days earlier, which indicates the listing is renewed or reposted rather than left in place. The advertisement itself states that the service covers the whole Bay Area, and it appeared in an East Bay subsection of a Bay Area–wide board. Readers who want to check the current advertising for themselves can search Craigslist for “A&J mobile autobody repair” in the San Francisco Bay Area region.
The contact number advertised in the post, and the number used in my communications with the provider, is +1 (510) 789-3694. I include it because it is the number the business publishes for itself and because other customers may recognize it. Advertised claims and my documented experience
In my opinion, the advertisement’s claims did not match what I experienced. Each row below quotes the advertisement, spelling as posted, and states what my records show.
“I stick to my estamate no hidden fees”
My records show a discussed range of roughly $750 to $950 and a final payment of $1,125 after the work was performed.
“Good Quality Work”
The day after the work, I reported that the trunk area did not appear level with the body line and that a side scratch remained visible, and I sent photographs. A reply in the message chain stated, “I will correct it.”
“24 years of experience I can also provide references (if needed)”
My own searches of the California Bureau of Automotive Repair license lookup did not return an active automotive repair dealer registration that I could locate for this business or this individual.
“Servicing all the Bay area … sameday service”
After the initial visit in Livermore, my documented requests for corrective work between January 20 and June 8, 2026 did not result in the correction being completed, in my account.
